Pros & Cons
Pros
Rust-oleum is a top-of-the-line spray paint in my book. I was impressed with the can volume and the quality of the paint mixture to the last drop. It is, in fact, as chrome, as everything actually chrome in the bathroom. The other thing i need to pain... Read More
No leakage. Wear gloves for handling. It's more dull, but this one here takes the cake.
Cons
The finish is definitely matte. The color isn't even in the ballpark as chrome. This so called bright coat metallic finish is one heck of a poor match to a chrome faucet or a chrome car bunper.
Not only is this paint ridiculously hard to use correctly, its dry times are totally inaccurate. You have to constantly shake the can while spraying out paint. If you are spraying a high-end item that will be seen up close, this is not your product.
Tried to polish with plexiglass polish; very mild stuff. Tried clearcoat. Beaded up like water on wax. If you rub the surface some silver pigment rubs off.
Highlights
Quality
I like the ease of use, good quality, texture gives fine finish, no leakage.
I’m very happy with the coverage, quality & the finish.
I have a small amount of items that i have been unable to upgrade from standard & stale chrome or silver plating.
Resulted in a bright, almost chrome-like appearance.
Price
Went to buy more, and price had about doubled - very disappointed.
It's worth the little bit of extra cost to purchase rustoleum over a cheaper brand paint
This spray value for the money it bright any where you spray😍
I chose this spray paint based on that & price.
Competitiveness
I assume rust-oleum's bright coat gold will give similar results.

The sheen is more of aluminum foiltin foil than chrome in fairness it does not market itself as a chrome finish but it also does not produce what the cap looks like i painted this on a metal license plate frame and it looks more like the dull side of foil dill is pic on right but if your texture is smooth it could be the shiny side
