Pros & Cons
Pros
There's some kind of chemical curing process where the bond gets much, much stronger over time. This is my new go to tape for when i want a strong permanent repair.
This tape is great for repairing awnings or similar fabric or tarp-type materials. It is wider, which is nice for many applications, such as tarps with holes or tears. It works even better if you patch both sides of the tarp.
Cons
Kind of defeats the purpose of black tape. Disapointed in this. It's a defeat.

Competitiveness
I compared this tape with a 3" tape i'm very impressed with.
The fibers in this stuff are no joke and the adhesive is definitely better than your run of the mill duct tape.
It's a couple bucks more than i usually pay for the name brand stuff, and it's roughly equivalent, perhaps a bit thinner.
I recommend it but will say there are better tapes available.
