Pros & Cons
Pros
P238 impact drill has 3 settings for torque. Plenty of power to remove and reinstall lug nuts. Uses the same batteries and has adequate torque for general purpose.
The ryobi 18v cordless tools never fail to impress in performance and value for the price. Needed to use a breaker bar to loosen then used the ryobie. I use a 4ah ryobi battery and it lasts a long time between charges.
The first was part of an economy kit - did the job (actually many jobs) - still works but it's tired. It outperforms every other impact driver at the job site. Doesn't feel awkward or cheap. Have used for a few different jobs and has handled everythin... Read More
The p238 is a nice combination of reduced size, sturdiness, and selectivity. This brushless is much much more powerful and smoother. It is also significantly quieter than it's predecessor.
Cons
Too heavy compared to dewalt and makita impacts. Built in light quit working after a few weeks of use. Incorrect description, i want it to have new drill but seller send me the refurbished product.

It was delivered promptly and in good condition.
Packaging/appearance
It was great buy the packaging could have been better when i received the package it was ripped open.
Just to clarify: the picture of the p238 box in the product description shows that there is 2,200 in lbs of torque which is equal to 183.

I bough this impact driver because i wanted it since i was buying ryobi tools that are brushless but i got the newer one that is the hp four mode impact driver but it is a great impact driver but i like the function of the old one that has the tri beam lights with the magnet tray for screws the new ryobi tools don’t have that anymore and got rid of it and this impact driver they don’t make them anymore i don’t know why but i do know that it does suck the battery life quite a bit like i tried to but a three inch screw into the wood that i was fixing a wooden gate and by doing one long screw with a 6ah battery it suck up on bar if it which i thought that’s crazy i guess that why they don’t make it or people use them for really hard task like putting long bolts that are bigger then 6 ins which is crazy and this impact goes up in smoke which i don’t understand and they don’t want to use a impact wrench which will make it easier and won’t burn up as easily as an impact driver which is ridiculous this impact driver should be for screws short and long and short screw bolts nothing more and it does have the power to do it it doing any long or bigger task ryobi impact drivers tend to get hot for over use and people called them useless tools well yes and no no it is not a bad tool but yes they are not all great but they are release if newer and better tools so you should give it a try

Tried taking some lug nuts off a rim and still had to break it by hand

As well as putting it on still had to hand tighten the lugs

I do however use milwaukee or dewalt bits because the ryobi bits become warn down with moderate use and i use my tools extensively every day
