Pros & Cons
Pros
More powerful than the smaller ryobi, cuts bigger limbs, pivoting handle keeps hand at a comfortable position. Very easy to use, fast and effective cutting our overgrown hedge. Long blade is somewhat awkward.
Lightest trimmer i have that will cut all of our bushes. The convenience of being cordless and not dealing with a combustion engine make both quick touch-ups and big trim jobs much easier. Had to replace our old black & decker.
Lasts long enough for homeowner occasional use and doesn't require dragging a cord around. The li-ion 18v battery lasts longer than expected between charges.
Highly recommend. Works great. Works as advertised. Works very very well. I highly recommend this product.
Cons
A restocking fee is imposed for returns of this item. Buyer beware no battery as the title states. It's my fault for missing that it didn't come with a charger.

Competitiveness
To my surprise, this works better than the 40v model.
Lots of power and used only 1/4 of my large 4ah battery after 20 minutes of constant use.
It really we t quick and we didn't run out of battery - about 40 minutes of run time on a li-ion 18v battery!
Wasn't sure if this would perform like my old 40v battery trimmer of a different brand.

I use the newer smaller ryobi lithium battery the larger batteries don’t seem to snap in very well in this product although they’re fine for other ryobi products
