Pros & Cons
Pros
The sander is perfect for small refinishing projects! Needed to refinish a piece of furniture. Love this little finisher.
I normally just shoot my air compressor nozzle through the sander's vents, but i once had to take it part after sanding dried drywall mud that instantaneously caked the motor & stalled it. It makes the tool lighter and moving it around easier. Tha... Read More
Cons
I am not sure if my sander was simply defective. Kind of frustrating to have to stop and turn it on all the time. The second thing is that it is very hard to get the battery out.
Highlights
Quality
Light weight, performs well and the battery lasts a good while.
Easy to use, powerful enough and all most home craftspeople need.
This sander is so east to use and it gets into 85 percent of all the places my random orbital one can't get into.
In 15 years after legit abuse, only two 18v tools have broken .
Price
Very powerful little sander for the money and size.
15 years of abuse at that price point, i'm willing to test the longevity of the new model.
Higher price point doesn't always mean better.
Competitiveness
Easier handgrip compared to earlier models of other brands.
But ryobi has outlasted some of the "better" brands i've purchased.
P400 was much easier to manipulate into any angle/orientation because of the easy to grip handle.
