Product works great right out the box. Operator skill plays a role in it's usefulness, but it's hard to beat as a go-to tool for problems encountered during common home projects.
Cons
There's some latching gizmo that has to be manipulated. Constantly depressing the safety switch with your thumb gets tiring very quickly. It is actually compromises safety by lessening your hold on the variable speed trigger and handle.
