The passing is to soft and it almost melts while sanding. Removing them to replace the sheet is impossible without tearing off hunks of the foam pad.

    If you use the correct sandpaper for the job you do not need to apply so much pressure that your wear out the pad

    I will say though over the years they have increased the price of these which is frustrating but it’s still less than buying a new sander
