This case has 3 layers to it a thick rigid outside layer that has the clip attached

At 53 and 95lbs it just looks ridiculous on me to carry it at my hip haha and my phone looks ginormous and overwhelming

The next layer is the smallest of all the layers but probably the most protective of them all and one that you should definitely put on your phone
