Pros

This product is compatible with the startech 3. It has motherboard thread pitch--the standard mobo screws with the larger hexagonal/philips head will work. Just plug in and it recognizes it right after power up.

My only gripe about this product is that blue led light. Everyone complains about how bright the light is which is totally unfair.

Internal cable came folded tightly into a bundle. Some say with the startech bay adapter you get a little gap.

Cons

It is spotty on reading some memory cards, including micro-sd. It shows in my pc as 4 removable drives with no media in them, and none of the slots work.

Something's wrong with the onboard controller. Source did not do a proper qc on his stuff they are pushing. I valu my time and do not have the time to fiddle with mis-represented devices.

The front plate is not aligned perfectly so whenever you go to insert a card, you have to jiggle it to get it to fit. The connectors for each removable device are much too close to the face or insertion point. This allows a card to be wrongly inserted... Read More

In my opinion that is a poor design.

5 inch slot i couldn't secure it to the bracket from the bottom with screws since the holes are on the side to secure the card reader.

I do recomend for something cheap that works
