Pros

You plug it in, the system recognizes it, installs a driver automatically and you're good. Works flawless with an older driver under windows 11. However, the cable comes with a cd with the drivers just in case.

Cons

Some devices are not going to reliably detect the signal coming from this implementation. Nobody publishes specs sufficient enough to evaluate compatibility.

The cable is made with a non-removable hex nut at the end. I believe that the cable would best be served as a cable extender. The faux metal connector is flimsy and came off!

Good quality and have held up over the last month so far!

I have 30 years of fishing waypoints on the device with no way to recover other than manually going thru and writing them down.

Unfortunately the drivers are on a cd and my samsung laptop has no optical drive.
