Very happy it uses usb and has a good cable included.
This docking station works very well for that the newer usb interface is very much faster.
I should have gotten one of these a long time ago, makes it dead simple to plug a drive for a quick format.
Pressed the button and it was done in less than 20 minutes.
Price
It does need it's own power but it's nice it's got a little switch overall a good device but could be a bit cheaper for what it is.
Competitiveness
The only real con i can say is that it takes up much more space than most alternatives on the market.
I did mention that i was surprised that a brand like sabrent wouldn't work with linux.

I made the mistake of buying this unit to work with a raspberry pi 4 running raspbian linux and the first slot worked fine but not the second

I decided to not try hot swapping on windows 10 instead i click the icon to have the drive disconnected first and then remove
