Pros & Cons
Pros
The saucepan has a protective cloth collar to be used when it's not in use. Its sleek black appearance is very attractive. Once past the initial presentation, it performs well.
It's good for soups, sautéing brussel sprouts in some olive oil, preparing milk for custard and preparing small side sauces like hollandaise. It seems to work best for veggies and liquid soups. I have no regrets about ordering this, which is odd becau... Read More
The steam opening allows venting, as well as gauging the level of heating under the lid. The clear tempered glass lid fits well and has a vent hole to prevent spillover.
The included handle was fast and easy to fasten securely. The handle is secure and can be tightened easily if it loosens. After some investigation, only 1 screw is needed to secure the handle.
It's very durable but not too heavy. Weighs twice what similar-sized pots i've felt weigh.
Cons
The pot handle is now charred underneath. This is a hazard, as whatever chemical is gassing off can't be healthy for you. Good luck attaching it.
