Pros & Cons
Pros
The sakura koi water brush is the best water brush for travel sketching! The water brush makes watercolor inconvenience a thing of the past. The brush seems to be much easier in controlling the flow of water onto your paper.
Pentel holds enough water for me to use it easily ( while using my lap desk in my easy chair at night while watching tv) without getting up to refill it. Fits in an altoids travel palette as well as my cotman plus palette. They are easy to refill (wit... Read More
Cons
It's especially frustrating when you are half way through your painting and can't complete it because the tip isn't working. The handle is too short on the waterbrush. On my pen this is probably from the leaky water bottle in the brush.
Highlights
Quality
Quality is really nice compared to my other brushes.
The water seems to flow best with the #6 brush size.
I bought two others, one smaller and one larger than the one that came with the watercolor set.
I did have one small issue about the waterbrush, however.
Packaging/appearance
Was afraid of it leaking, but haven't had a problem so far.
The plug is very small so i am keeping mine in the original packaging so it doesn't get lost.
Competitiveness
They work great for when i'm using my inktense blocks and pencils too!
I tried another brand's waterbrush once and it was just not the same.
