Pros & Cons
Pros
The ones i chose are calligraphic ones, in case that is a factor for you. It also comes in a very small 1mm size, which is fantastic! That tiny size really makes all the difference on some projects.
The biggest difference is that the pilot parallel is user friendly and comes with so many different ink colors (or you can use your own if your crafty) not too fast. Not too hard. Plus one runner up.
Cons
Ink is not at all opaque and very watery. I have to retrace about 4 times for it to look even vaguely opaque. By then, the paper starts to disintegrate.
Highlights
Quality
Perfect for writing on black paper, dries quickly.
I have used this and the medium tipped silver and gold pens for decorative marking and they work wonderfully.
I've used this pen predominantly on card stock, and not regular printer / copy paper.
They lasted long some of the reviews said the ink ran out but if you press hard anduse them properly they worked fine.
Packaging/appearance
" i was able to address wedding envelopes that were very dark paper.
Bought to use on wedding invitations and it shows up perfectly on our plum colored envelopes.
I was ordering to replace my drying up calligrapher, saw the name, saw the package, and clicked and bought it.
I needed a black calligraphy pen that could write on a gold shimmer wedding envelope .
Competitiveness
The other brands left chunky, uneven ink lines.
The runner up that i like in calligraphy pens (non expensive ones anyway) are zig calligraphy pen.
