Pros
Was first introduced by friends early this year. It's not as good as avalon but about on par with deception. Definitely recommend for small get togethers.
It’s a really fun game and would make a terrific present! The packaging and artwork are beautiful. The packaging is fun! Looks just like a book and it's sturdy!
Simple, yet intricate in the sense of having to strategize your thinking processes. This is a game you'll have to play through a few times to understand all the mechanics. It keeps you on your toes without being overly complex.
Salem is a secret identity game along the lines of secret * or coup. It's like the old classic game of mafia but way better.
A great ice breaker. Fun and very entertaining.
Cons
Directions should be rewritten by someone with better organizational skills. Also quite morbid and not in a cool way. Anything for a buck.
Sarah bishop had been accused of witchcraft more than a decade earlier, but was acquitted for lack of evidence. Martin was also convicted and hanged on july 19, the same day as sarah good. Way to victimize the victims so insensitive.

Aside from the terrible state the package arrived i really enjoy this game and so does everyone at game nights.
Very funny, the package is nice, but if you use sleeves for the cards they don't fit in the box.

The production value is great, and i would certainly recommend it for a group social-deduction game in place of werewolf or mafia.
It is similar to one night werewolf, but soooo much better!
