Pros & Cons
Pros
Great traction in loose dirt and mud, but not good for wet areas. Makes me feel more stable going downhill on rocks. Northwest florida has red clay that is very slippery so it will be very interesting to see how steady these will make me.
The drawstring lacing system never fails or slips, and i can snug up my arches when needed. They need to be worn for awhile to get the new tightness loosened up.
Cons
This listing clearly says it’s for the gtx version but that is not what i received, nor what is pictured on the listing if you zoom in. Now i am required to do the product return and wait for refund, really inconvenient and time consuming.
Highlights
Quality
I appreciate the great traction along with the light weight for hiking.
Zero rubbing, zero hot spots, zero blisters, and zero pressure points with the included footbeds.
The foot with the speedcross 5 gripped amazingly well, while the foot with her shoe just slipped.
Price
I think the price is a little outrageous, but i’ve had this type of sneaker before and i really love them they last a long time.
Also the shoestring tightener isn't the best and i fund it difficult to move and adjust it.
Packaging/appearance
I do recommend at the moment- go for it if just for the no blisters out of the box!
#1 reason for purchase was numerous reports of ‘no break-in needed’ and these are self proclaimed ‘right out of the box’ ready.
