I love this boots, waterproof, nice looking great quality.
I am extremely happy with these boots.
I put my own inserts in, because i didn't fully like the feel of the ones that came with the shoes.
Material is thick and seems it may be waterproof with the silver goretex.

Right out of the box, these boots were simply perfect for me.
Competitiveness
My wife has a pair of merrel phasebound boots.
I bought these for a 14er and they were super comfy and i had no blisters after a pretty rough hike.

I tend to switch out the insoles to more comfortable gel ones but this did not help

The tongue is shorter on this shoe than what i am use to and it has only 1 lace tie bracket at the top

In tying just once the laces kept working loose and then the tongue and shoe became loose

It may be too hot for summer but without wearing will be hard to know for sure as there is no mesh holes visable
