Pros

The best shoes for any weather. The best grip for muddy hikes. They are comfortable and waterproof. Great for oregon hiking and walking the my dog on rainy days!

The tongue of these shoes has a little pouch to prevent the strings from dangling off of the shoe. At first, the heal is really stiff and slightly painful, but that goes away quickly. I have one ankle/ heel that is very funny about cushion and support...  Read More

Quality

I wore out the xa pros and went with the gore tex version for fall hiking.

I've tried both the gor-tex and climashield version of this shoe and both performed similarly.

I did order the half size up as i do for my normal running shoes as i had read from other brands with the gortex it is helpful.

Competitiveness

Climashield is also waterproof, but less expensive than the gor-tex model.

Coming into a different brand than i normally wore to achieve the objective.
