There have been some issues with my sound card, error messages about effects not being compatible with the mic.
For 4 years strong, the quality has remained top notch.

For 40 or less, this is a 5-star mic, a no-brainer purchase if you plug your recording headphones into a computer, interface or mixer.
(a samson mic has resale value--unlike the weird name for the newest version of a neewer mic.

They only thing i do not like about it is this microphone is really heavy it is 2 to 2 12 times heavier than another condenser microphone i have

If were to leave this microphone attached to my boom arm long term the weight will put a lot more stress on it not good

I would have liked to see added to this microphone i run a online radio station and having a on off switch would be nice having to plug unplug the microphone all the time gets annoying

If your looking for a microphone for recording like simple jingles chatting on the internet or a online radio station this microphone will work just fine

It will not work if your try to go more of the professional route there are higher end usb microphone out there

I purchased this for a podcast i was creating with a friend and while it fell apart after a couple of episodes this microphone works great

I can say that because i had to edit our podcasts in adobe soundbooth and really all i ever had to do was adjust the volume

The only thing i would say is to keep your distance dont go closer than 56 inches because if you lean in too close your voice can get distorted if you speak at a normal to high volume
