Pros & Cons
Pros
The boom arm is extremely sturdy and will hold just about any mic you can throw at it. It makes zero noise when adjusting tension/lockdown. Only gripe is that if you hit the arm, your mic will pick it up easily.
I am still shocked at how well it stabilizes on the side of my desk. It is a necessity to have this arm, as counter and floor space is a premium. It holds up my shure sm7b with no problem and it comes with 2 different desk attachments.
Blue yeti microphone and auphonix shock mount hold steadily in place. It needs two more velcro fasteners.
I get it home, unbox the thing, and immediately i can see that aesthetics were more important for this arm than the old one. The quality on this thing is on another level and it's like $25-30 more. Seriously get this one, don't spend a cent more. Tl;d... Read More
Everything about it screams quality. The metal is heavy and thick and this thing just exudes quality the moment you take it out of the box. However, the arm itself is quite sturdy and gives an impression of dependable quality.
Highlights
Quality
The stand is easy to install and feels sturdy.
This is very sturdy and very easy to install.
This is made out of quality material.
With out the shock mount the mic will pick up and bumps to the desk, or heavy typing (think intense gaming and getting rough on the board).
Price
I really didn’t want to pay for a $100 mic stand after getting my pc so i was happy to find this one that was much more affordable.
Overall i’m very happy with this purchase and it is definitely cheaper on amazon than anywhere else i’ve seen it.
It was a good deal for $14 but it didn't last.
Bonus is that this os more than half the price of the other ones i bought
Shipping
After (accidentally) installing these opposite of how they ship, i was surprised to find those issues completely gone.
Packaging/appearance
It looks great on my desk, and i've not had a single issue with it.
Competitiveness
Better deal than spending $100 for another brand.
I’ve done a ton of research and watched many comparison videos on budget mic arm stands before i made this purchase.
There better than the ones being sold by guitar center
I didn't expect it to be anything special because of how cheap it was compared to other boom arms but it's really good.
