The screen flashes on and off in a nauseating way with lines up and down the screen vertically. It's actually unusable, and they will not offer a refund.

The text is sharp and clear, and it plays along with the laptop quite well.
I have to adjust vlc's video effects to make the image brighter, and only then can i enjoy a movie.

Once you get your settings dialled in the quality of image is pretty good but i do wish there were finer controls or physical dials to control brightness and contrast

Im using it as an extension monitor for my laptop in my experience if i want to change any settings i have to press the home button on the remote and when i do that it ejects the drives that are attached to the ports on the back of the monitor because its leaving pc mode

I have also learned that the drive speeds over thunderbolt are nowhere near what they need to be for video editing i was hoping that the extra ports would be useable in my workflow multiple ssds attached but theyre not

The monitor takes one usbc port from my mac and gives me 3 slower ones

Also wanted to use it for gaming so i bought a minidisplay to hdmi cable only to learn that its not compatible with consoles

As a basic second monitor it works but the bells and whistles let it down probably should have invested in the mac 5k monitor

However when i use it to watch movies in the vlc program the picture is hard to look at and its difficult to see all the details in the movie as they appear significantly darker compared to watching it on the macs screen
