Pros & Cons
Pros
It does this exceedingly well. This tiny little thing is a beast with absurdly powerful projection.
Audio quality is surprisingly good, samsung advertises a 360 audio, and it's not bad for such a small device. Good enough that we don't feel the need to connect bluetooth speakers when we move it around. Works with a samsung sound bar with woofer and ... Read More
Image quality is unbeatable. Our textured walls and ceiling are white. It really shines when it's darker or when the sun sets.
The projector boots straight to the samsung smart tv os. Initial setup is straightforward if one already has a samsung account with smartthings. Almost all of the devices and appliances in my house are from samsung brand.
Small size, extremely portable and lightweight. Small size and portability make it super useful. Powered via usb-c.
Cons
Multiple issues with this projector. Value to the price paid is extremely low. Samsung should 'auto focus' on improving the brightness and quality of picture.
Highlights
Quality
It handled it really well and the picture quality was great.
The audio quality was surprisingly good, samsung advertises a 360 audio, and it's not bad for such a small device.
As soon we turned it on our cat tried to play with the projected light.
It's not the brightest image, and really needs to be in a dark room for the best quality.
Price
I think this is a great projector for the price.
That said, i do think that for myself, the price is a bit prohibitive.
Packaging/appearance
Playing audio through the built in speaker was ok for the size, but not as enjoyable as when played through the soundbar.
You don't have to have all these other apps for stuff you just watch straight away out of the box.
Competitiveness
The projector can act as a smartthings hub (for wi-fi connected devices) and can control lights or view camera feeds.
You basically get a smarttv hub in this so you have hulu, disney, and all that stuff.
For that reason, this isn’t a good replacement for everyone’s tv.
It consumes about 45w in my testing.
