Pros

The magician software that you download from samsung has a setting for under-provisioning and i used that, knocking 10% off the top. Everything is incredibly snappy. Using samsung magician current version 8.

Cons

Recent reviews concur. Amazon is horrible when it comes them reselling items that get people scam off them first. Beware of snail like return policies!

Star rating because the stock heatsink limits the performance so much that the drive isn't even worth it. No signs of impending failure, just upped and quit and would not show in any other computer or enclosure.

Firmware was updated the most recent version, still doesn't perform. Which is a pretty big bummer. When connecting to the right port on your motherboard this thing is stupidly fast.

When plugging the drive into the computer, an error message is displayed saying the drive could not be recognized. Sticker on the drives say 120gb not 4tb! The drive never was recognized as generation 4.
