This is our second chromebook and we've been using chromebooks for over two years now. Lightweight and easy to use. Currently one is used by high school age child. I like the very simple interface for her to start with.
It's a great buy if you're using it solely for web surfing, emails, media streaming, and communicating. The linux-based chrome os is a breath of fresh air and quite fascinating to learn. The keyboard is the same as the original.

Cons
It has no cd player, only 1-2 usb ports, no caps lock or other standard keyboard function. Not worth to buy a laptop from this company. Mad at self for not researching & at clerk for giving me false info.
I am normally a huge samsung fan, but this was frustrating. This is frustrating as i had the original samsung chromebook and it lasted 3 years before my toddler finally did it in. I guess the lcd was cracked. Do not ever buy this samsung chromebook.

Very reliable, and great value for the money.
You can download an app on your cell phone to scan then send to your google drive but the quality is not great and it's a hassle.
Price
My other chromebook was ruined by grandchildren and needed a new one and this was listed at a great price.
Packaging/appearance
If you have a gmail account, get onto the chromebook.
Competitiveness
Much better than the newest 2017 model that i also purchased.
