Pros
The camera is powerful and picks up details. Battery life is decent, but not as good as my motorola moto. The biometric sensor works well. Nighttime photos are not very good, but at this price point it isn't a big deal.
Touch screen when scrolling and virtual keyboard and reorientation is snappy. Using an ear bud, or going into another room, solves that. It handles emulators like dolphin and duckstation really well.
A good phone for someone who is not joined at the hip with their phone. It has the standard pop out sim and sd card holder that most phones have. It also has a built in esim.
Cons
The phone is useless unless it's connected to wi-fi. Ringing tones are so bad it took me forever to pick them out. This phone is waaay too overpriced to have this glaring of an issue!
This means that samsung is aware that they scammed people by selling defective hardware. A 5 month life span for a phone is absolutely ridiculous.
Face recognition often doesn't recognize me. Finger print scanner sometimes isn't recognizable. Camera lens is not that great unless the app has a cast icon on the video screen. Overall buggy performance.

It had 90%+ battery charge on it and it fired right up and i xfered all my info.
Price
(samsung galaxy j3, was a good little phone for the money and served well).
This is a great phone for someone who does not need all the bells and whistles of an s series phone, nor wants to pay to price for one.
New phone with 5g for less than $350.
Refuse to spend $1000 on a camera.

It took several days to get it done so if you are in a hurry to have service i would suggest using the physical sim first.

It came in the manufacturer's packaging (box) and i couldn't find a single mark on the phone.
Redmi comes witj free case and 33wats brick and charger.
Competitiveness
The a series of samsung galaxy phones are affordable in price but not necessary be worse than the s series.
Looking at the specs on the a54 and comparing it to what else is out there, i decided to take a chance and get it.
