As some reviews stated the bag does have a smell and actually the drawstring of the complimentary bag
As for packaging it came plastic wrapped in a drawstring bag with a note there are a couple of lines and a number impression on the back of the bag but this doesnt detract from the esthetics at all in my opinion it actually adds to it and seeing the working of the leather is cool
