None of my previous holsters (admittedly for smaller phones) have had these, but given the ever-increasing common size of smartphones, i'm finding that it actually does make sense to use all the belt loops, to prevent something from snagging the holster and ripping it off of my belt by accident, as all three loops share the load instead of just one.  Read Less
