Dog got lost in long grass one day dog panicked family panicked all is well but it made us want some more security in case a similar thing happenspretty lightweight and we got a waterproof collar case to protect it and the dog hasnt seemed to have noticed it on her collar so thats a pluswe tried the alarm sound and its quiet enough it didnt startle the dog but you do have to be pretty close to hear it pretty much standing in front of the dog which defeats the purpose for our use but can see it be handy if youve attached the smart tag to something small like keysmy mum has the smart tag registered to her phone and my dad is connected via a family group on the smart things app so they both can check where the dog is which is better than other brands where only one device can talk with the smart tagonly downside is it only works with samsung galaxy phones luckily both my parents had galaxy phones already but i dont so i dont have any involvement with itthe samsung smart things app seems very user friendly too
