Pros

The screen is fairly reflective and is best viewed in low to moderate lighting. Brightness and contrast is excellent compared to most lcds. The picture is good and has minimal glare issues even with strong overhead lighting.

The `custom' choice allows the user to setup a 5 band equalizer to his/her preference. The sound is much improved when hooked-up to a stereo system; the base is hugely better and makes watching movies with quality sound tracks really enjoyable.

The clarity of the hd content is awesome and the non-hd content is still very good. Hd channels from our local cable provider are also extremely good. It's one of the main reasons i upgraded to this television.

Cons

Samsung tvs were manufactured with faulty 10volt capacitors. Their products are bad, their service to their customers is abhorrent. Do not buy a samsung tv.

This is the best tv i've owned and have been very satisfied with the product.

- some images do have the 3d picture quality mentioned by another reviewer.

Wigits are a joke so if you are buying for with the intention of surfing the web you will be very disappointed.

I guess because of the economy, i upgraded to a ln46750, 240 hz for the same price (bedroom location).

Shipping

Shipping was free & fast and just as described.

Shipping was good but local delivery was to be delayed 1 week due to economy shipping.

The shipping was very curteous, calling a day ahead of time to schedule a time and then making sure it turned on when they delivered it.

Packaging/appearance

Samsung provides next to nothing in writing on how to clean the screen.

So yes, very pretty, but non-functional, as you can see the cables trailing down behind the see-through stem.

Also, never use anything made out of paper on it; this will surely scratch the anti-glare coating.

Competitiveness

It met all of my requirements - 240hz refresh rate, larger than 40, great [2ms] response time with game mode - and at a remarkable price.

The only issue seems to be that we can't get it to play a video off of a flashdrive.

So much so, that just a few hours ago, i went out to bestbuy and purchased the samsung soundbar system.

My friend got a 120hz 46 inch i got this one.
