Cons

Toner lasts for only 1,000 pages before the sharp print fades and there's a very faded stripe on the left of the page. It barely has ink. If i did not already have this printer, knowing what i know now, i would find a different one.

Box states owl & *. Something terribly amiss here. How shameful of hp/samsung take advantage of people in buying this toner.

The ink sellers know all this and try to charge unrealistic prices for ink with the samsung name on it, so you have to shop very carefully.

Competitiveness

This is much better than the cheaper "alike" products that i tried and had to return.

A little spendy compared to off-brands, but will last me about 3 years, so less than $30/year.

More often than not those no-name refills can be junk, literally destroying your printer.

I can't see risking my printer to some no-name refill to save a fraction of a cent or sacrificing print quality either.
