I just opened the box and tested it because i have video files of 1tb+ to transfer and was worried about transfer speed.

So in summary, if you are on previous gen consoles (xbox one, xbox 360, ps4, etc), then this is an absolute excellent buy.

Initially, i used this as a boot drive on a 27" 2017 intel imac and it worked quite well.
