If you don't have the 2x2 port i'd recommend saving the cash and going with the t7 model becuase you won't get much of a boost.
Price
I also liked how i could add password protection to the drive through the software so i think the price you are paying is worth it.
This is my first portable ssd and it’s certainly pricey, but i think it’s worth it.
Competitiveness
The t9 seems to be about the same speed as their older t7s.
I just got it and did a kdisk on it and compared it to my other ssds.

The only issue ive had is that i was trying to copy about 650gb of data and it keeps saying not enough room on a 2tb drive

Im sure its something im not understanding so will take that on me but beware i thought having a 2tb drive would be way more than enough but i have to move individual folders in which is a pain
