Pros & Cons
Pros
Sandisk 256gb is a great budget storage solution. Holds full 256gb and no data loss. Sequential reads are slower than the 400mb/s marketing claim, but still quite good. I have it connected to my laptop all the time, with store some portable apps and f... Read More
Great for the car as i put it in a usb slot and just leave it there. Not an issue for me. I just start loading it and walk way and let it do it's thing. Works as described, recommend, easy to install.
Cons
Transfers start at 70+ mib, but drops off to around 25 mibs after 1 gb. In a 512gb package, labelled as 512gb on the drive. Barely faster than the theoretical maximum for 2.
This flash drive tends to overheat significantly during use, which i suspect contributed to its short lifespan. After 2 minutes of mp4 reading, it's barely touchable, this will 100% melt with use.
Highlights
Quality
Works as described, recommend, easy to install.
Very quick drive, takes a fair amount of abuse (drops) without corrupting the data on it.
Music is not working only work save music and photo.
Such a low profile it does not get in the way or get knocked accidentally.
Price
Value it because i possess an abundance of complete quran audio files featuring various hafiz, which i listen to while driving.
Sequential writes are decent enough for this price point.
Don't like that there wasn't a case as i might loose it, but for the price i can't go wrong as it works.
Competitiveness
Plus the 128gb capacity is more than enough for windows installation files, and you can load this drive with microsoft office 2... Read More
