Provided the extra storage i needed and was super easy to set up

After about a week i realized that if my old laptop hdd failed, my old backup hdd could also fail and that would leave me sol.

For a while, my mac would deliver "disk not ejected properly" warnings even when the ssd was mounted and working.

Bought a new hp with a 1tb ssd on amazon (great price, great machine).

I have bought several of these from sandisk and this is the first in the slightly less expensive case design.

I have bought a lot of western digital external drives in the past.

Examples of ssd external hard drives that can reach 10 gbps include this one and the more recent samsung t5 and t7s.

I got one of these and later learned that sandisk is bigger into the solid state drive space and western digital bought sandisk.
