I’ve been using this for games and am really happy with the quality.
4 tb is a lot of space and will last me a long time, eliminating the need to upgrade my internal ssd anytime soon.
Immediately reformatted for apfs and transferred close to 4tb of data from my raid.

Price
I do think it is a bit too pricey, but currently, the options for an 8tb external ssd are limited.

Addressing the elephant in the room this external requires its own power supply it cannot simply run off of being connected to a computer

As uncommon as that is today you should know it before purchasing and if that’s a deal breaker then you need a different external device

For me the only limitation is bringing this drive in the field or maybe using it at an airport which i personally wouldn’t do anyway

It’s not inconvenient to bring it from home to the office or using it in a hotel and even a lot of coffee shops have plugs near tables today
