Cons
First one overheat when plug to iphone. Works on ipad but not iphone. Wait 2 weeks for a refund sometimes 3 weeks.
Will not read on either side. Didn't last three weeks. Both now fail to mount. Lost all data.
I know for certain it was not as a result of my negligence. Very poor quality and durability. Pretty disappointing otherwise nice design great use.
I am not paid by anyone, nor a shill for samsung. Be careful there are a lot of businesses selling bad, outdated or incompatible memory thumb drives to unload stock.

The product shipped fast and works just like it is supposed to.
Competitiveness
Drive is actually 512gb unlike the knock-off 1tb and 2tb drives you see on amazon's top #10 list by no-name companies from china.
I'm not exactly happy that purchasing this is $8 more than some of their other flash drives with the same capacity and speed profile.

But i googled first and samsung had a page on how to transfer photosfiles from your phone to a usb drive and specific directions for specific phones

For my s9 it is basically my files app see your samsung group or do a search select the filesphotos to transfer long press then select copy or move go back to the my files home page the file folder with the house in the center tap on usb storage 1 select the folder where you want to send the filesphotos tap copymove here

I will be upgrading to a new pc soon and the newer pcs have more usbc ports and fewer usba ports so i needed a flash drive that would work on the newer pc and also work on my current pc that only has usba ports

Other flash drives are usually in a larger case which on my pc prevents connecting to flash drives to the same side of the pc at the same time

I was only able to get a transfer rate of 60 mbs although the drive advertises a rate up to 150 mbs although this is probably due to my pc port speed

The pivot mechanism appears to be a bit flimsy so this is probably not the type of flash drive you want to carry around in your pocket
