Sandisk uhs-ii reader has a 3 cable and usb-c plug. No drivers needed on ipad, just connect and open files app, everything is there. Works great for the reading newer type ii sd cards that would not read on my older macbook air. And imac 5k 27.

Cons

The light flickers on briefly, but the sd card inside does not work or isn't recognized. Kept inside a desk drawer, no bending, just stopped working. Another good name making a * product.

Extremely slow on macbook pro 16 (os catalina), used with pny elite-x sd card. Sustained rate of transfer is the worst at 10ish mb/s!

True usb c speeds and with the pig tail connect is very convenient.

I was having quality issues with my video.
