Tried it in 2 other computers and got the same message. It flexes and does not go in correctly when trying to use it after the chip. Perhaps, there was a compatibility issue. All of the files are gone because everything on it was corrupted.
The outer casing is made of thin, flimsy plastic. They need to make it from sturdier plastic. It plugs in and out with great difficulty.
I like the size and the storage capacity, but its construction is *. Even with optimized usb ports it's a snail. I recommend the patriot supersonic boost xt, that drive moves at a very high speed even on usb 2.
