Pros & Cons

Pros

The battery life is great, but i don't believe it will play audio for the 24 hours that the specs say it will. It has the option of adjusting the screen brightness to even further extend battery life.

The fuze has expandable memory up to 8gb. It also has an expansion slot (micro sd) which they offer some with sizes up to 32 gigs, so you really have the option of owning a 36 gig mp3 player.

For versatility, the fuze is excellent. Cautiously recommended. It's very versatile, and very sleek.

The sound is good, though not stunningly excellent. Video playback quality is excellent although the smc (sansa media convert) which is used to convert videos is really slow. Sound quality is great with my old sony walkman earphones.

Cons

This is almost too bizarre to contemplate. Warranty expired on the first, no warranty apparently on the second. Stick with apple ipod nano.

The fuze is not mac/windows compatible. It's supposed to be easy to drag and drop a video into the fuze. You have to manually delete songs from the playlist.

Quality

Other than that this has been a very good product.

Sorry with the late review, i'm still using it and i love it.

I was very happy with the first until it stopped taking a charge, rendering it useless.

For some reason, sandisk stopped making them and replaced them with the new version of the fuze, which looks real cheap and plasticky.

Price

Just couldn't justify the price on the ipods.

Packaging/appearance

-ability to delete songs from the fuze.

Condition was excellent, with only some very light scratches on the screen, nothing that wouldn't buff out if i really needed i...  Read More

Competitiveness

The mini cards are a great way to have lots of music at a fraction of the cost.

The sandisk sanda fuze mp3 player is a superb player at a fraction of the cost of the ipod.

Got it to replace a 3year old sansa e250 which i had rhapsody on.

I can't speak for the newer models, but this model is a 5-star one, absolutely.
