Ease of use of that player is stunning. The interface is intuitive and the price is very attractive. The simple and clear menu structure, compact size and especially the long battery life make it very pleasant.
After 4 years of * (dropping it, getting rained on, etc. It survives again and again.
The ipod natively supports aac, protected aac, aiff, wav and mp3 formats. Both the 4g & 5g nano have better screens than the sansa fuze.
The only downside is that syncing the database can take a long time when you have a full 32gb card in. Rockbox seems to refresh the database much faster however. It supports microsdhc cards which means it can go up to 40gb using a 32 gb card. It also ... Read More
Cons
Sandisk fuze is not fully compatible with mac. Windows xp can't recognize the device in any usb port. It freezes up if you hold the power button down for too long.
Major complaint with the fuze is the durability of the display. Overall low rating was based on the documentation, media converter, and durability question. Lack of good paper documentation for a basic startup routine is rather sad.
I am furious with myself for ordering a second one after my first one died. Call me old-fashioned. In the end this entire circus isn't worth it.
The battery is non-replaceable and the instructions on how to upload music to it differ from the way it's actually done. If one prefers not to use windows media player (or similar), it's very awkward setting directories for continuous play.

It is very easy to use technically and very strong physically!
After upgrading my headphones and speakers over the last few weeks, i realized how poor the sound quality of the ipod touch is.
About a year ago the navigation wheel became difficult to use and eventually just stopped working.
Price
This is an amazing little video mp3 player for a great price.
Still, my upgrade cost next time will be the cost of the next card - love it!
At $10 per year, i'd say i got my money's worth out of this unit.
(rather than pay for every track like in itunes, you pay a monthly subscription and can listen to any of about 2 million tracks.

Item was shipped fast &arrived very quickly.
Packaging/appearance
Toss it in my lunch box or gym bag, it's been rained on and coffee'd on, dropped and the like and it's still ticking.
Competitiveness
A better deal certainly than any of those very expensive apple products.
This is a great product far better than the newer version sandisk has put out.

Anyway, buy a "classic fuze" while they're still available and avoid the "improved" fuze+ at all costs.
