I spent around 80 bucks for it and it might be my favorite all-time amazon item purchase.

I wish i hadn't spent the extra money for it, as for my purposes it is useless.

I sent an email to the us sangean reps, and they nicely sent me some replacement strips (really nice customer service).

The radio as shipped is expected to run on two d-cell batteries.
