Pros

The sound is rich sounding and is not that cheap tinny sound, that is so common these days on so many cheaply built radios. What keeps me coming back is the classy mid-century design and good sound output for such a small box.

The dial pointer is a real physical pointer on a slide rule dial, as opposed to an image of a pointer on an lcd screen. I like the styling of both, and they each perform a task in my office. I have a wr-22 and love it and this addition is perfect.

The weight of this radio is substantial. The knobs are not flimsy. The craftsmanship of this wood cabinet radio is fantastic.

Wow, what a terrific radio for space, quality, and sound !

Very good tuning and stays locked on station.

The second suffered the same issue the first one had with no longer being able to tune fm stations with any sort of strong signal strength.

Always felt like it sounded like your typical battery powered kitchen radio from the 80’s.

Shipping

I gave it a 4 star because shipping took way over a month, otherwise i would have given a 5 star rating.

Competitiveness

I was always a fan of the tivoli aesthetic, but this is right there and the quality of sound is markedly better for a better price point.

It’s a better price point, slightly larger footprint but same aesthetic as the tivoli and the sound is amazing.

I did a lil research and wired recommended this sangean brand and i bought one.
