I did not know when i bought the bike rack from a person my girls bike would not fit well on the rack

One minor challenge is that the end that supports the bike seat does not sit in the bike rack cradle very well as the loop the supports the bike seat is significantly wider than the main beam

Adding this adapter creates a top rail which now allows for the bike to be mounted horizontally on the rack instead of on a diagonal
