At every stop i checked the bike rack and made sure it would sit properly

Otherwise you wont be able to fix the lower attachements to your trunk talking about the mazda cx7 only here

I say that because it usually took 23 times to be able to close the trunk with the angles under the trunk door

But then they sit there without a problem and you wouldnt be able to get the rack off unless you open your trunk or cut the bands
