    I actually suspect that theyre unnecessary maybe some lawyer insisted that they be added as a redundant safety feature and thats why theyre difficult to use unlike everything else about this bike rack

    Since my kids are getting older and their bikes are getting bigger i think i might actually be looking at  saris freedom superclamp 4 bike rack  in the not too distant future

    It holds your bikes by the wheels so there is no frame contact

    The wheel trays accommodate up to 4 tires and it doesnt matter what width tire you have the bike is still held firmly in place
