Pros
The hub comes with a uk spec power supply adaptor. Also has a socket for hard drives that need extra power which is handy. When using it with a 3.
It does the job of connecting the external (sata) hdd to your computer well. Works fine with my 3tb hdd. Only downside is that it does not pass smart data back to the connected machine.
Worked perfectly. Works well. Does what it supposed to do. Worked immediately.
Build quality is decent and the item works well. Plastic frame looks well build. Nice and compact. Excellent bit of kit for the money.
Cons
The power adapter was either not good enough or more likely faulty. Not properly connecting like unknown connection error and speed is not 3.

Nice to have the additional 3 usb3 ports.

Worried by some reviews that it may not connect automatically to my current pc but it worked out of the box

You plug the usb into the pc the power into the device and the hard drive into the device and it just worked

If using with a laptop you need to be careful not to disconnect it at the drive end as its quite exposed

Only downside is that it does not pass smart data back to the connected machine which is no good if you are expecting to do any diagnosis on connected drives

One was good and the other had over 2000 bad sectors so is on its way out

I purchased this to quickly clone my hdd to a new one and it only took just over 3 and a half hours for almost 2tb of data

As a side note i tried 2 other data recovery products before disk drill and both spent ages finding nothing
