The ceramic socket is a real bonus, because even with an led replacing the original incandescent bulb, there is a fair amount of heat that vents through the top of the lamp. It was installed on my desk lamp to replace the old one and has worked as exp... Read More

The porcelain socket is stronger than the plastic of the replaced part. Required slight tweaking to align one of the wire clamping screws. The screws are color ribbed wire goes on silver the other on gold.
