I thought for the longest its all about how hard you slam the microwave door causing the bulb to break but now am starting to think it was the cheap bulbs from home depot

The light went out in the microwave and i had no idea where to find one

The original bulbs lasted for years but every replacement came apart where the glass is sealed into the basethe part that screws into the socket

Only time will tell how long they last the originals lasted about two years and the lights are left on every night as a nightlight in case the kiddies get up in the night
