Sure, if you're a full or part time car tech, you'll make that money back right away the first day, but this is something that autel "does better" than launch, you can technically still use the scanner and all its functions beyond that year, it just won't support "new functions" and that's my other gripe, "new functions" are nothing but a subscription and there is something shady going on, my last autel scanner started acting up when the subscription expired, but as soon as i paid, everything worked.  Read Less
