If you create a new save document profile by clicking the circle with a pencil icon in the scanner button screen instead of just editing the one that came with the unit there is a box to uncheck at the bottom of the settings that will let you bypass the rest of the sshome interface

The unit will then operate just as it did in your old software – you scan name the document and then just save it to the designated folder

I had to upgrade to this because newer version of mac
